How to maximise your Amazon Affiliate Potential ; )

Considering I do so much online, particularly marketing through social media and Kindle Digital Publishing..I’ve got so carried away with all the new shiny objects I totally forgot about one of the basic and most common affiliate opportunities ANYONE can make money from – AMAZON. When did you read your last good book? Even if it’s a Kindle one, can you recommend it to your clients, family or friends?

Out of curiosity I checked into my Amazon Associate Account and I was very surprised to see a fair amount of income that has landed in my account over the last few months that I had totally forgotten about!

As Amazon is No1 on Google and one of the biggest traffic generators, doesn’t it make sense to be an ally of theirs? Not only for books but gadgets too? I am going to think about what I have bought recently that I feel compelled to share. Despite being a Kindle reader I am also still ordering paperbacks as well as downloadables. It depends how much of a rush I am in to get the information ( most of my orders are non-fiction!!)

So how do you become an Amazon Associate. If you don’t already have an Amazon Account get one by signing in at http://amazon.com and your relevant country. Or you can go to https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/ and sign up there. It is relatively easy to use and there are guides that explain how it all works. It is generally a ‘cut and paste’ job but if you have any questions just drop me a note. You can start putting products onto your website, blog, Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter pages right away. I’m going to start by recommending a book that I have read and continue to read that assists me to create information products amongst other online strategies by the lovely, knowledgable and talented Peggy McColl – A No1 New York Times Best Seller who has made a veritable living online initially as a single mom! So no excuses get out there and make it happen!
