Pinterest – A great Social Media Tool for Small Businesses

I have to say I DO LOVE Pinterest. I know Twitter is big and so is Linked in but being a visual person Pinterest just does it for me. Am starting to learn how to drive more traffic and create more value for people visiting my page. Ive also share LOTS of other peoples PINS as they are just so good. Quotes seem to get the more ‘repins’ as well as personal posts/pins ( another whole new jargon to learn) but its pretty and its powerful so make sure you can use it to boost your business to the next level..especially if your market is primarily ladies!!  Do you have any great images your company already owns? If not you can create your own, use your own quotes and even watermark your logo so people know it comes from you when you ‘re-pin’ your pin!

If any of you are already using Twitter you may be familiar with management sites in order to coordinate and schedule posts. You will also like to know that Pinterest has a similar big sister – http://www.pinerly.com/landing. Here you can manage all your posts and even create campaigns! Marvelous.

At the moment you need to be invited, its invite only so if any of you out there want to be invited drop me a note (click on drop me a note!) and I’ll invite you personally.  Check out my latest Pinterest Boards! http://pinterest.com/amandasteadman/  PIN ON!! AND PLAY!

  • I’ve used pinterest to optimize my site and the result was amazing my site was jumped from #234 to #9 in few weeks time.

The trick is we must got our website pinned and repinned by many people this is the hardest part. Most of pinterest users won’t doing repin when they aren’t like what we pinned.

I do simple thing to outsource it on fiverr and got my site pinned by 75 people, I don’t know how can he did it just search by typing pinterest on fiverr and you will find it on the TOP. Many other seller offer pinterest service on fiverr but in my experience they can’t make my website increase in SEO. I don’t know why.

As I know currently pinterest is best for SEO for these reason:
    1. Once our website pinned it has 3 backlinks counts
    2. Google interest in social media signal so it will not tagged as links farm
    3. Currently pinterest links are dofollow even the image
    4. Even not support anchor text (except the url link), it’s still perfect for placing our keywords in description. Google will READ it!!
    5. You need to ping the links of your pins to the to get your website increase in SEO
    6. Obama The President and Mark Zuckerberg now pinning on Pinterest lol.

  • About a year or so ago I noticed, that the amount of attention on my Facebook posts with an image were far better , than any other posts. People love images-every picture speaks with 1000 words! Pinterest is a heaven for visionary type people like myself. Well if you are hungry you might get even hungrier lol!

    • Ivelina – yep you are right. Especially with quotes! Happy Posting and thanks for your comments. Have a fab day! Amanda
